I've spoken with O2 and added necessary bolt ons, waited 24 hours and still cannot make calls or send messages

Wondering what to do next.  Calling O2 costs me a lot of money from here using skype (sadly the only option i have)

Switch your phone to 2g for calls and texts.

Does your phone show coverage of a local network in your host country? That's necessary to make/receive calls, send/receive texts or use mobile data
