If I change from payg sim to sim only can I keep my number easily

Hi. I have an international bundle with 1000 mins of UK and international calls. If I buy a bolt on for an extra 100 minutes, will this be used first for my UK calls or will the 1000 mins be depleted first and then the UK bolt on used?
