I am thinking of changing my current android phone to an iPhone 13 pro...Do I need a new SIM for the iPhone to access 4g/5g? I've heard that some people have had problems by just taking the old SIM and inserting it into the iPhone in that 4g is not showing on the iPhone...

The SIM should work but you may have to ask O2 to enable iData on your account.

If it makes you happy you can always pick up a replacement SIM from an O2 Shop

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Unless your current sim is 5g (new within the last 18 months) you will need a new sim to access 5g on the iPhone 13.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thank you for your reply. I assume that to enable idata is the same as to whether you are on PAYG or on a Contract? And what contact do I use to to enable this as this info does not seem to available anywhere in the FAQs or contact us section.

There is no iData for PAYG so no point you calling.

Also, currently there is no 5g for PAYG although this may change.
