Hi, all.

I got a PAYG number, and it hasn't been activated.

But I have the PAC code already, and prepare to port this number out, Is that Ok?

Any chance to loose my number during porting?

Thanks.

It will work OK providing you have a valid PAC.

This will be checked by the network you are porting in to.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I would put the sim in a phone and send a text message to or make a call to it to ensure it is registered on the o2 network, before putting the port request through.

This will ensure it appears in o2's database of active numbers.
- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Hi, thanks for reply.

I'm doing this just wanto save tenner top up.
For a unactivate O2 PAYG sim, I can call free numbers, receive calls, texts, tested already. but unable to send text even 65075 or 85075. It is definitely O2 number, and I have the PAC TELXXXXXX already. But not 100% sure, is that safe to porting a unactivate sim.

As I said already.

The pac you have will be checked by the network you are porting in to.

If it's valid, the port will proceed OK, if not, they will tell you and the number will stay on the O2 sim until you get a valid pac.
