Hi Guys,

I am on Pas As You Go and looking for the best options for calls and data. Data is mainly for navigation, sometimes in the EU. Which is the best option? Rolling plan? Bolts on?

Regards,

Huba

Depends on how much data you need overall.

Options here https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/sim-cards/pay-as-you-go

Hi MI5,

I am usually with 7GB/month.

Which is better? Boundle, or a rolling plan? https://myo2payg.o2.co.uk/choosetariff?disambiguation_id=ac0880c7-6724-4532-a703-039ac8253fdc#/

Go with whichever gives you the most data.

You need to top up either every month so the only practical difference is the amount of data you get.

Yes, all phone sims have EU roaming included.

Calls can be an issue in some countries where 3g has been turned off but data will work.

Hi,

This is great. The customer service has just informed me, that I must be in the UK to activate whichever plan, LOL. I plan to use it travelling from the EU to the UK

Rolling plans need a UK bank card attached to them for it to renew each month.

If you just have a bundle plan, you top up to activate it Guide How to Top Up (PAYG)

I have a UK Bank card, not an issue. I have already topped up, now I am to choose the right plan, but there is no point if I cannot activate it from the European zone, only from the UK. 😞

As you already have an O2 PAYG sim that is working you won't be activating a new one. Your plan will just switch over on the system, so you won't have any issues.

First time activation is only required for new sim cards.
