Hoping a member here can help, as I cannot get through to the call centre and the answer is not on the website that I can see.

I have a monthly contract with O2, but I want to purchase an additional PAYG phone. So, do I need to purchase the PAYG and a SIM Pay as you Go?  I am not sure how this works

Please can someone kindly assist me.

Hi @Helen4476

Yess you buy the phone and add the sim to your basket before checkout.

@Helen4476

You choose which tariff you want you but are not charged for it at time of purchase.

Whichever tariff you choose is what you must top up with to activate it when you receive it Guide How to Top Up (PAYG)

Thank you both

So, I purchase them both together, slot the sim into the phone and then activate the top up, is that correct? Can all this be done at the same time.

Thank you, just trying to understand the process.
