Old PAYG Go Go and Classic PAYG. What's the catch?

I just transferred from an old PAYG phone to a new iphone and the tariffs are very high compared to the Classic PAYG deal. I think I can move on to the Classic. Is there a catch as it seems like a no brainer not to.

@Calculad you can change your tariff once per month in your MyO2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2 with no catches.

The different tariffs suit different people depending on usage.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
OnePlus 6 (O2 & Sfr), Z3 Tablet (Three UK), iPhone 8+ (EE)

Thanks for the replies. I don’t use the phone much.

Is there a time limit such that the phone credit expires or sim dies?

I looked at T&C but can’t see any mention of this.It doesn't seem to make any sense to stay with my old PAYG when Calls are 35p a minute, texts are 15p and data is £3 per Mb.

On Classic PAYG it's 3p a minute for calls, texts 2p and data £1 per Mb

Unless there is some disadvantage I'm not being told about buried in T&Cs.

Sorry to go on and be cynical but it's not like phone companies to reduce prices.

I have been caught out so many times with what looks like a better deal to later find out a dreaded catch.

@Calculad all you need to do is send a text, use some data or make a call at least once every 6 months and top up every 999 days, there's no catch, honestly.
