My O2 contract is I top up credit and when it gets low I top up again. A few weeks ago I asked a question about Mobile Data when in Tenerife. The advice given was great, I pay £2 a day for 100M of Data. Does anyone know if this applies to the USA. Many thanks.

No. There are no add ons for the USA with PAYG

Also, to make calls successfully in the USA you need a phone with 4G Calling. This is not available on PAYG

Here are the charges

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Many thanks. It looks like my best option is to buy a sim card in the US. I have had a look and there are sim cards I can buy that give unlimited data for a number of day's. My phone is 4g and 5g compatible

Or you could buy a US SIM from Amazon UK and set it up before you depart ! 👍

Many thanks for your reply and information. I have been looking at one of these sim cards. My phone is a Samsung A22 5G. SM-A2268/DSN dual sim. Am I correct in assuming that all I need to do is fit new sim into second slot in phone, select sim from settings and new sim works as "normal ". Will the new sim recognise my contacts (transfered from original sim to phone) and enable to use stuff like WhatsApp.

Contacts are rarely stored on SIM cards these days.

I run dual SIM here and everything works whatever SIM I choose
