Why can’t I get rid of a notification for a message when there isn’t any message there - driving me nuts!

Some phones have a spam folder in message app so check to make sure nothing is there.

You can also try clearing cache and data from the message app.

It may also be notifying you of a draft or unsent message so check each message thread carefully.
