Greetings. I have a pay as you go phone from May to Nov when I live in England. I top up by going in the store. November April I’m not in the UK and so don’t top up letting the data stop. My store said I needed to use the number at least twice during the six months or I lose the number.

If I top up with £10 online does this count? I can’t use the number in America or it would cost a lot. I’m getting ready to come to France April 1 and want my phone ready to use before coming back to the UK. o2 doesn’t penalize us by being in Europe which I why I want an active phone then.

Does this make sense or does anyone have an idea. Thank you.

Hi @Terrie1

To keep your number active you need to make one chargeable call every 6 months, so you should be fine.

Enjoy your travels.
