Data allowance showing as being used within a day as soon as monthly top up goes through

Hi all,

 

I have only been with o2 since July and when in the UK and my top up goes through it shows that I have used between 19gb - 20 gb of data in one day!!  I only have 25gb data allowance each month and got that because of previous usage history so I know that I don't use anywhere near this in a month, never mind a day!  I rang o2 and all they will say is that I have used it!   When I was abroad and the top up went through this didn't happen but now that I am home and the top up went through, it has happened again!  I spent ages on the phone to o2 trying to get this resolved but didn't get anywhere.  Personal hotspot is off.  Any ideas on how to get this resolved anyone please?

Look in the settings on your phone to see which app is using the most data.

It will give you an idea of where the issue lies.
