I cannot make calls or send text messages, I can receive both and also use mobile data. Trying to get assistance through the live chat puts me in an endless loop of it telling me to call o2 despite me not being able to make calls from my phone

Live chat is useless. Better to use Social Media

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
