I have received a phone as a birthday present with the balance of over £17 carried over from my old phone. I haven't used the phone, yet the entire balance has vanished. How can I stop this, please?

@Maryrose55

If not used for more than 6 months the sim will be deactivated and balance reduced to zero.

You will need to contact O2 to see if it can be reactivated.

If you make a call at least once every 6 months it will be fine.

Guide: How to find help & contact O2

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
