a number of calls showing on 'recent calls'  for yesterday all to local landline numbers which I did not make, has my phone been cloned ?

If your sim is still working then no, it hasn't been cloned.

Maybe someone else had access to your phone?

Someone had to have had access to your phone for calls to have been made from your number to be showing in the phone's call-history,  @LIZW22.

Take a look in your MyO2, if contract or Pay-Monthly, to see what appears there, and if you still have doubts, reach out to O2's Social Media teams, links below this post.
