new to o2 and not receiving texts on iphone 6s

I started my o2 contract on Friday and my old number was transferred to this new contract today. It seems to have worked - when I call people it comes up with my old number. I did have to manually enter the number in settings->phone->my number but it did work before I did that too. I can receive imessages but i cannot receive text messages. Any ideas on what I should do? I have done countless restarts throughout the day to no avail. I also noticed in the mobile data section that the mobile data address is wap.vodafone.co.uk - I have just moved from vodafone so is this incorrect? I am worried my vodafone contract won't be terminated.

thanks for any help and advice you can offer

Start off by scrolling down in the network settings page and choose reset network settings.
Wait for the phone to reboot and check your data apn is "idata.o2.co.uk"
See if mobile data is working OK but if not change your data setting to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
Your texts will come online within 24 hours.

Many thanks I have done that and the mobile data is working okay. I shall wait 24 hours and see if any texts start to come through. Fingers crossed! Really appreciate the quick response, thanks again

Oh and another question - when I tap voicemail when I bring up the phone it doesn't call voicemail. How do I fix this?

Personally I would give it another 24hrs after rebooting etc. I would imagine everything should be sorted by then?

You need to dial 901 for voicemail.
If you are on idata you should get visual vm automatically.

Yes I've tried dialling voicemail and that's fine but as I said when I tap voicemail (and I know I have a message as I keep testing it by calling myself) it doesn't call voicemail or show that there are any voicemails. I'm not getting any alerts that I have one. I will give it 24hrs and hopefully it will be sorted. Thanks again for help and advice
