I use Viber - does the same thing and has a perfectly good Android app. I suppose the appeal of this one for the moment is iPhone only, as the owners do like to feel they are exclusive.

I also use Viber et al occasionally. I cannot see the point of TU Me as it stands now - no push notification! Both parties must be running the app for it to work. I have been running VoIP against my BB Talk number for years. On P&G. Don't have free minutes, don't use cellular for outging calls but have web / wifi bolt on. Have a geographic number (well quite a few) and free national calls on my BBT plan and always free VoIP - VoIP.

(PS I can trump adamtemp64 's sig - had my first cellular mobile in 1984 with TSCR before they became Cellnet.TACS - pre ETACS, car mount only. Still in loft!)
