I have received two MMS texts from: 02more@o2.com which both ask me to download something - I haven't as of yet.
Also just received one from: O2_Alert saying "You've been sent a media message from 02More@o2... View it at www.o2.co.uk/m by typing in your mobile number and pin: *****
Are these from O2 or what?
Thanks, Chris.

I have read this, but it doesn't apply. Notice the messages are from 0(zero)2More@o2.com
This doesn't seem to be official?

Forward it to 7726 (O2 spam reports).

Sorry I didn't put this previously, I have already tried forwarding it but there is no forward option. Either because it's coming from an email (evidently not an actual number) or just because it is an MMS I need to download. But no, I cannot forward it.

My guess it's a MMS message because of no object being attached to an e-mail. You only need to send a 3Kb pixel for it to be a valid MMS.

Incase you need it, one is 974KB and the other is 43KB.

I don't think it's relevant about the size as such although 300K is standard size for a MMS. Some networks can send larger MMS than others. Also remember MMS/message gateways can be set up on the internet.

I'm basically just wondering if these are files actually meant for me and should be downloaded? Or are they spam/malware etc etc?

Well if it's from 0(zero)2 then I think you can draw your own conclusion surely ?
Also you could still report it to the O2 abuse number.
