Do O2 engage in calling their customers to offer a better deal on their mobile service?

@Ian128

In my god knows how many years o2 have never called me.

So this is a scam, so don't entertain them, and do not give them any personal data.

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

I didn't need to withhold any information as they quoted everything about me, including sort code and account number and DOB. I fear O2 may have suffered a security breach.

There is no breach.

It will be one of O2's "trusted partners" trying to get you to sign up with them so they get a commission from the sale.

Check your contact preferences in your MyO2 and change them to no contact.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Nope - he announced himself as O2, not a trusted partner. Why, also, would he disclose all my personal information? Not to mention him declaring that he was stopping the "recorded call" so he could confirm my bank details. Oh yeah - this offer was only for today.....!

Hello @Ian128

I looked at preferences in my own Myo2. I was pleased to see that contact boxes were not pre-ticked,

so that if I wanted o2 or their trusted partners to contact me I would need to tick the box.

Need to be very careful about any contact.

Thanks for bringing your event to our attention.

Best wishes TallTrees
