Hi

I have rather a sensitive subject I need to discuss with an actual person. My husband has an O2 account but is terminally ill and struggling with using his present smart phone. He is due to upgrade but really he just needs a basic smartphone with large buttons that he can more easly use and that he doesn't need to sign up to a long contract. I cant see a way of doing this without actually discussing his needs with a person. He is capabale of talking to someone but I just need to know where to start. Can anyone hlep me please?

You can call the sales team on 0800 081 0255 @RJW0505 or you can message them on social media:

Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

If you browse the shop (www.o2.co.uk/shop) then you might get an option to chat to an advisor.

@RJW0505

The best thing to do would be to buy a phone outright from Doro (doro.com) rather than signing up to a contract.
As o2 really dont do many of those types of phones https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/phones#sort=content.sorting.featured&page=1&brand=doro

You can change the minimum term for the device by clicking customise plan

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

I don't know if this will help, but my son always goes into an 02 phone shop, sometimes he upgrades, and sometimes he downgrades depending on which phone he likes at the time.  02 have a special deal at the moment that means you can upgrade or downgrade for free every 90 days provided you keep your new phone in mint condition. Should be fine if you just need to try it out to see if it's a phone your husband can use comfortably.

Having had a mother who was disabled, it really helps if you could go in and play about with their display phones so you stand a fighting chance of getting something you think might be useful. You are stuck with 90 days however regardless.
