Connection Manager already installed... No it isnt

Hi all, got a problem here. I am trying to install my new dongle however the connection manager setup is telling me that another version of the connection manager is currently installed on the comp and that i need to uninstall it.

However it is not installed. Add / Remove programs doesnt have it in the list, the start menu doesnt have it in the list and there are no files unser the folder program files.

Any idea where this installer is checking for files or registry keys?

Thanks

If you have previously installed and removed it, there may be files left behind.

Try the advice from Sharon@O2 at the top of this page.

If it's not that I don't know, but I would guess a problem with Windows Installer, and the Microsoft support site may be of help.

This might work: load ccleaner, analyse the registry and delete as appropriate.

When I deleted Connection Manager (a couple of weeks ago) it left behind some files in C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/O2CM-CE/02 Connection Manager.

CCleaner can't live without it!

What a program and it's free.
