Hi

I just transferred over today from Virgin where I had a broadband and phone package

The router is 5 years old and out of date and I tried to get an upgrade but was never able to get in touch with them or the right department

Is a replacement something you can offer?

It's Virgin who deal with your router and it's only them that can change it.

If you post on the Broadband section of the Virgin Community, you can get lots of help there as there is more than one option

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@SDC

You'll find O2's offerings in the shop pages https://www.o2.co.uk/shop

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Can I request a new router from Virgin?
Can I upgrade the Hub? If you currently have a Hub 3 or older model (including the Superhub 1A, 2A etc.) you're eligible for a Hub upgrade if you order or upgrade to one of our Gig1 Fibre broadband packages. Sign in to My Virgin Media to check your existing package and upgrade your service today.
