I'm more concerned with the actual loss of life.

My thoughts with the families of those directly affected. 😔

Without meaning to sound cynical or cold, the accident and loss of life as tragic as it is, is hopefully only a setback. When dealing with the unknown, accidents like this are bound to happen. It's happened several times with NASA vehicles, and who knows how many times with the USSR when they were in the space race. They will find out what caused the accident, learn from it, and move on.There are always going to be risks. It's what explorers do, and I hope they are still willing to take those risks.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

It's a fact of progress, Bambino - fully understand where you're coming from....

Agree bambino, it is unfortunate but a big part of stepping into new territory for mankinds benefit.
Great sadness and humble condolences towards the pilots family but I know the pride they must feel will be with them forever.
Unfortunately the pilot cannot.
A sad day.

I salute the brave men who put their lives on the line. Progress is inevitable but there will always be sad sacrifices along the way in most given fields. Time to mourn yes but also time to relect and salute.

Though not so visually shocking or reported...this is similar to pioneering developments in the medical field.

I always remember one renowned consultant telling a group of students...

"We would have had NO progress in medicine if we hadn't lost hundreds of patients along the way...A few have to die......so the masses can be saved"

I have never forgotten his words.....
