Hi all the Thursday Quizzers.

The Thursday Quiz is open to all members of the Community, so whether you are one of the regulars, a member who has not entered a previous Thursday Quiz, or one of our new members, you are all welcome to come and join in.

This Thursday Quiz - for 11 April - will, as decided by most of the regulars, be three questions on

                                                                            HISTORY

The Quiz will be posted around 10pm tonight - Wed 10 April - when the Quiz will open and answers can be submitted, and will remain open until 12 noon Friday 12 April.

I hope as many of you as possible will take part, and new members or those who have not taken part in a previous Thursday Quiz, will join us.

If you have questions about the Thursday Quiz, please ask and I`ll post an answer slight smile before the Quiz is posted.

Thank you, once again, for your interest.

Q1 - William of Normandy, aka William the Conqueror
Q2 - Often worn for ceremony or by warriors but if I had to choose one early race I'd say the Gauls.
Q3 - Lord Charles Howard and Sir Francis Drake.

Just to add to my answer re Q1)

Edgar 2nd was proclaimed to be King of England after the Battle of Hastings BUT he was never crowned. Therefore he was never King.

That period in history had a number of people putting themselves forward as King, before and after the battle. A real mess in fact. upside_down
