David Bowie died yesterday aged 69.He had cancer.

I am unbelievably shocked at this news. He had hidden his illness from the public

He had just released his latest album

R.I.P David. I will never forget Ziggy Stardust

So shocked to hear of this via the forum just now

He's recently released an album to very good reviews

I have my favourite singles of his but just atm can't think of any of them, too shocked

Didn't he look great though to his very untimely passing away

RIP David Bowie

I'm sure he's already having a glam fest up there with his old mate Marc Bolan.
One of my favorite stories of Bowie is away from music, after Marc Bolan died, his son and partner faced living in poverty due to Bolan being officially still married. Bowie not only paid for Rolan's education, but also gave the family whatever they needed over the years until Marcs estate was sorted many, many years later.
A true friend going above and beyond his call.
