I agree @Pipstop78

I have also been helped and welcomed by the Community and the o2 Managers, especially when just joining o2, getting a new sim and changing my android🤔 Fortunately I've always had a good signal. If I'm not sure I always ask here. Big knowledge base here.

Thanks Community

from me too 😊

I joined  this forum 10 years ago this month and I was a real technophobe. I had been nagged by my sons to come out of the dark ages and get myself a smartphone. So I did and my first thought was, the phone wasn't particularly smart. 😂

However, with help from many people on here, I learnt a lot. Some  of those people  are still here. others have sadly left but I built up a good knowledge base from those people, so will be forever grateful.

The community members are unable to access any accounts so in 2020 we had the added bonus of help from O2 account advisors. In my opinion, one of the best resources to join the community and they have helped so many new members.

@Pipstop78

No-one can do much about network issues as this is something only O2 can sort out. What we can do though, is welcome new members, give them  the community guides on Networks, explain about the My Network app and let them know they aren't alone. Bottom line, we can always advise them to try some PAYG sims from other networks and see if they get a better result from any of those.

There is a wealth of knowledge and experience on here (even customer services have been known to refer members to the community 😂) and on a personal level I thank everyone who has helped me in the past. #

This is certainly one of the best communities I have ever belonged to.

I'll just pass on the words of advice given to me (when I first joined) by a member who is still here (@Bambino)

He said, 'The only silly question is the one you never ask'. I have never forgotten that.

Thanks one and all for your friendship, support and advice over the years.

Your contributions, @Cleoriff, on both the technical side (which you should get many kudos for learning) and the social side have been immeasurable. The community would not be the same without you.

The good knowledgeable people here on the O2 Community is my Go To Place for IT help ..... I joined just before my 60th birthday after a pleasant chat with @Toby who was 'on duty' when I first made my tentative post ..... Toby asked me if I was on any other forums ? = I came here quite by chance I had been on another forum to do with Bi-Polar Disorder an illness which I have, I found there some very poorly people, much worse off then I was ....... I generally post in Off Topic or in Android as my current phone is rather a basic Chinese one OPPO A15 ..... to echo what @Cleoriff has said about @Bambino he said to me quite some time ago now, something of great value ... = ... Google is your Friend (and My Friend too) ..... thanks to you @Cleoriff because you encouraged me to have a Smartphone when I had a little Nokia phone on Orange network .......... Only once did I have problems with O2 reception, a new phone mast and I was between the two ....... all sorted now ....... also praise for the O2 store in Skipton, North Yorkshire = always helpful and no-one has talked down to me - I always buy my new phones there slight_smile
