Headline : Apple's upcoming iPad event may take place on October 16th.

Excerpt from the link "It's no secret that Apple tends to reveal its new iPads in October -- at least, that's been the company's tradition for the past few years -- so the big question has been exactly when in October we can expect to see these upcoming tablets. According to Re/code, which has a history of predicting such event dates with a high degree of accuracy, we should mark October 16th on our calendars."

My thoughts :

Personally I'm looking forward to the possible release of the iPad Air II ,and Yosimite for my MacBook Air.

http://www.mobilechoiceuk.com/News/31041/apple-ipad-air-2-leak-claims-thinner-design-touch-id-and-go...

Excerpt from the Link "“The new iPad Airs will come with a fully-laminated display (this is done by manufacturing the cover glass and Retina LCD as a single unit – something they have done with the iPhone for years),” the website states, adding: “which means that it’ll be quite a bit thinner than the current iPad Air.”

Laminated the screen likes this decreases the gap between the glass front panel and the display itself, bringing your fingers slightly closer to the software; it is claimed the new iPad Air 2 will be 0.5mm thinner than the 7.5mm original Air.

Other minor design changes include removing the mute switch, “with sources from within Apple tellis us that it was a necessary move to achieve the thinner profile,” the website says.

The volume buttons have been redesigned, as has the speaker grill, which now closely resembles that of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

It is also claimed the Air 2 will receive a camera upgrade, now offering 720p HD video calling on the front, and 8-megapixel images on the back, up from 5mp on the original Air. Inside, the iPad Air 2 will be powered by the same A8 chip as used by the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, while RAM will be doubled to 2GB and storage options could start at 32GB (instead of 16GB), and run through the familiar options of 64 and 128GB.

The Touch ID fingerprint scanner, as used by the iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 Plus, will make its iPad debut on the Air 2, meaning the tablet can be unlocked (and content can be bought from the iTunes Store and App Store) without entering a PIN or password."
