This was always going to happen. I believe the next generation will be branded Nokia again?

There's been a lot of speculation that they may just be paving the way for the "Surface Phone", but I'd be surprised if they move away from the hardware side of things completely. Having said that, I'm completely sold on the the operating system now, so as long other manufacturers are prepared to take up the mantle, Windows Mobile could still flourish. If it doesn't, I'll return to Android  wink

I hadn't considered that possibility, but we shouldn't be surprised, as marketing is key to making a sucessful brand. The Lumia 950 is a very well specced handset, but many people's perception is that it is uninspiring (cheap even). Perhaps a Nokia branding could have changed their fortunes, as far as flagging sales of that phone are concerned, because it really is a good handset.
