Every day at midnight I have huge amounts of data taken (thousands) & then I get a text advising my usage is almost used up & I know I use hardle any, rarely use it. Lately, when I do want to use it, my data has mostly been used up by this bogus midnight data collecter!
I've read about all sorts of solutions but nothing stops it. I have disabled my 3G at night, turned off mobile data, turned on to airplane mode & ticked the 'don't send' on the Apple collecting data screen. When you turn them on/enable them again the huge amount of data that is usually collected at midnight collects at the time you enable it all again!
I know it's not what Ive used & it's not what they collect all in one go because at another time of every day another very small amount goes out which is the amount I have used.
Has anyone got any ideas or tips to help me please....?!

There's a few threads on here that give advice on what steps to take with excessive data use.
Have a look in the data use menu on the phone to see which is the main culprit. Facebook, with it's auto video play is a huge data user. Also check push notifications and turn off what you don't need.
To be clear, O2's systems update at midnight and that's why you are seeing the large amounts logged each night. This shows the day's usage and is the same for every customer irrespective of turning off data at midnight, it will still log the data you have used that day.
