True but I bet not many know FB tracks you even if you're not a member.

perksie & jonsie

I didn't know that fb tracks you

but now I think of it I'm not surprised

I keep up to date with fb as the only means with old schoolfriends / trad jazz bands & jazzers (I said jazzers not Jezzers) jazzers are those who enjoy jazz at live events (some of whom are considered mouldy old figs)

I can't see me giving up fb ..... I do enjoy it so, posting on visual jokes/poingnant sayings etc, but not posting any pix of my own 'cos I don't know how to do that ..... yet slight_smile

When Faecesbook first started that concept was good. But like all things they got greedy.

Personally I don't like FB or this digital world where there is no privacy anymore.

If FB are tracking people illegally then the courts should take a very strong view like the Court Of Appeal dis this week with Google.

According to the article you don't have to use it at all or be a member, it's still after you.

For the stuff I post they're welcome!

I have a Facebook account but hardly use it. I find it useful only to keep in touch with friends outside the UK. Most of the time I cannot think of anything interesting to post: just not bothered with uploading endless photos of where I am, who I'm with or what I'm going to eat or drink, etc. I also don't like the invasion of privacy and the adverts. Another thing that really annoyed me about Facebook is that you cannot access your messages on your mobile now unless you have downloaded and installed their messenger app: I don't see the point of installing an app just for the sake of it when I'm hardly going to use it and I really don't like being told what apps I should install on my phone.

I use facebook quite a lot but there's nothing on there that causes me any concern and if people want to track me, I could care less. They only have to ask Google who probably hold more information than anyone bar the NSA.
