I was a bit amazed when I saw this on the news this morning. A 'car' built to go 1000mph
BBC interviewed project manager Richard Noble who said 'The Americans were hot on our heels to try and take the land speed record....we thought this might throw a spanner in the works'
This amazing piece of engineering goes on display at Canary Wharf for 3 days as from today.
A lot more testing to be done as yet...
The record bid is planned to take place in South Africa mid-2016 onwards. The playa lakebed of Hakskeen Pan is the chosen location for the record bid.

It has just been on the news again. They are showing an app you can download so you are able to 'be in the cockpit' during testing.....see all the dials and readings etc etc..... Ain't technology wonderful...?
