I am new to the forum and Toby suggested posting a video I made.
Away from it all.
I spend a lot of time each year canoeing and sea kayaking. I love being out in the country or at sea in my little craft.
On my various journies I encounter the local wildlife, travelling as quietly as they do, I meet them.
Here is a video I made of a meeting with some Basking Sharks around the Outer Hebrides. When we get calm conditions like this, it is such a magical place and a privilege to see our world from a different perspective.

I hope you enjoy viewing it. I spent about an hour with these gentle giants. The first one is about 8 metres long and the other about 5 metres, a lot of fish!

Dude that's awesome.
I couldn't help thinking of that famous film soundtrack directed by Steven Spielberg tho !
Even tho I know they are not predators after us I would have been paddling hell for leather
Joking aside........ like WoW.

Ah a sea kayaker. Guess you've done Anglesey? Got quite a concentration of sea kayaking manufacturers here!

Are you one too?
I've done several day trips around Anglesey but I prefer the wilds of Scotland where I can travel for days and not meet another soul.
Over the years I have seen most of the Scottish coast and many of the islands.
My friend is paddling a new Rockpools kayak, he wanted something more stable than his previous boat a Vynek. I can keep up with him now, in my old Mcnulty Alaskan.

No - I just used to work for one! Know quite a few of the well known names in the sea kayaking world (its small!) though never actually got to have a go in one. One day perhaps but I prefer the comfort of hotels than camping!
