BBC1: Strictly Come Dancing

as an x-dancer, of course this will be my favourite tv show this time of year

never mind my tv is stuck on BBC2

Sky engineer is coming early Nov to c/o Sky box

I watch the prog live on BBCiplayer

even if my bum feels like it has gone square sitting on the pc chair, even with a cushion on it, tmi I know tongue

the results prog on Sunday is the better one = but not screened live as (1) it is recorder on Saturday night & (2) I just don't know why it can't be screened soon after the results prog has ended?

it is very clear the judges favourite is Pixie Lott (they do it every year = favour a female eg last year Abby 'I love myself' Clancy) she won last year = urgh! Artem & his partner Natalie were robbed imho

Pixie will be in the final 3

Thom Evans is my favourite, closely followed by Steve Backshall

but there are very good others

I think Judy Murray will be in the dance off tonight

I acctually had a bet at the beginning of the show, before anyone performed = Thom 1st, Steve 2nd & Judy just for fun

Hi WispaRed7

My partner also likes watching this programme and X Factor.

Fills the evening I submit. 😄

Glad you enjoy it too.

Which style of dancing do you like and performed yourself ?

Hi Jane....as you probably know this is one of my favourite shows...again like you I did dance a lot , My dad was a champion medal winning ballroom dancer so it probably runs in the family.

Must admit the more fiery dancing floats my boat..Paso Doble..Rumba...and my all time favouriite Argentine Tango...:smileywink:

ballroom + latin american + old time + modern sequence

I fancy having a go at salsa & the american smooth

= not around when I was doing my medal tests & medalist competitions

main drawback = never had a proper male dancing partner

the school of dancing I went to in Cas' wasn't set up that way

= more run as a money making business (with hindsight)

but lovely memories as all 4 of my family used to go dancing

I was the 1st to go on a Saturday afternoon childrens' general dancing lesson

where the large ballroom with sprung wooden polished dance floor was a pleasure to dance on

my sister joined me, then my mum & dad

good times were had by all

from 7 to 17 dancing was my life

favourite ballroom dance = tango

favourite latin american dance(s) = jive/rhumba

did some informal teaching, but just not same as doing it myself

in later life found out I could bop at local trad jazz group with live bands = whooppee!

but club now long since defunkt

& I'm somewhat decrepit slight_frown

but love SCD = the frocks & even guys outfits are Amazeballs

BEST thing about SCD is the professionals demo on Sunday show

as they say, in the best possible taste, Keep Dancin'

hi MI5 & Cleoriff

yes the pro girls on SCD are rather slim & attractive in their bling

I like watching Ola Jordan (where is her very competitive husband James this SCD series?)

& no Artem Chitvintzev = my favourite male pro = not only for getting his chest out on a regular basis, but more so for his innovative choreography

I too don't know the results of tonights show

Brendan Cole, for the way he holds a woman, would be my choice of pro dancing partner ..... oh as if slight_frown

good to see men & women watching SCD

Cleoriff, I have bookmarked your 2 photos to print off at a later date

don't those girls heads, in the Argentine Tango, almost touch the floor backwards ..... Amazeballs
