Imo people buy macbook for photo and video editing, and business usage.
The power of the Intel core m is too weak to do these tasks, at least within a usable time frame.
The product makes no sense at all, at least in a productivity market, it's screen is remarkable but lacks the power to do anything with it, the ram sounds like an upgrade but the cpu lacks any grunt to run an application to use it.
That cpu belongs in a netbook and if that's the market apple see this in, then the ideology of mac has shifted in the wrong direction.
It seems to me this was made to appeal to the iPhone generation who don't want a pad, which to me is another, in a long line of, change in apples core strategies and policies.
Its a £1000 netbook, and we all know it.

I agree with them changing strategy to suit the iPhone generation.

I used to have an Macbook Air when they first came out simply for portability and I like the OS. It got me into the Mac world and away from PC's. My Macbook air finally became so underpowered last year that i decided to get a Macbook Pro because I prefer using OSX and needed something much more powerful, storage etc.

Recently I constantly hear my students saying they want to get an Macbook Air because they have an iPad/iPhone and love apple. My prediction is that Apple want these people to buy this Macbook Air and hopefully in three-four years they will do what i did. Upgrade to a Pro.

Hell even my mother went out and got an Air last year because she finds OS X easier to use. (she has a bad hand and loves the trackpad gestures)

I woke up to this, hilarious but sadly shows the gullibility of people who will no doubt be clamouring to get their hands on one.

It is very funny, and I don't want to throw cold water on this, but does anyone speak Spanish? Is he really an Apple engineer, and is he really talking about the iMac, or did someone just do funny subtitles? It seems a strange setting for it. It looks like he's on a talk show.

I'm pretty sure it's a spoof, or is it me just being naive?
