Amazon Prime - can you help me please?

Anonymous
Not applicable

When ordering some items to be delivered within 2 days to an animal charity I support, I find somehow I've joined Amazon Prime & I don't want to ... this happened a couple of days ago, I'm in their 30 days free period ... but I'd really like out of it

If anyone can help me I'd be very grateful

thank you

Hi Jane...you have to go into Amazon and do it following this guide

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201911110

Scroll down and look at this part...

Note: At the end of a free trial period, you'll be automatically converted to a paid annual membership for £79 a year or a paid monthly membership for £7.99 a month.

If you'd like to turn your automatic renewal back on at any stage, you may do so on the same page by clicking Continue Membership.

You can opt out at any time during the free trial period.

You can also choose to set a renewal reminder by selecting Remind me Later in "Do not continue", which is accessible in Your Account, under "Manage Prime membership". (This reminder option won’t be available if your renewal date is within the next three days.) For more information, go to Cancel Your Amazon Prime Membership.

Take advantage while you can Jane. Set a reminder to cancel in 28 days. I've done it a number of times now.

Interested to know how you got more than one trial @jonsie.
Had one many (many) moons ago and nothing since...

@gmarkj I did it many times before I signed up for the year. You just keep applying for 'one months free trial'.

Obviously not month after month....I used to leave it a month ot two then sign up again.

I think I probably did it 6 times before I signed up properly. wink

I just hope they haven't closed any loopholes @gmarkj. It's been 4 years since I took out annual membership but honestly it was as easy as that....I found it particularly handy just before Christmas.:smileywink:

I get asked to try it every two years, plus my late wife used it twice on trial.
