Hi.
I have just joined o2 from Sky and have a new iPhone 13pro on a pay monthly contract.
my problem is that I have kept my old number and although some text come through to me, others do not. I can receive messages from anyone but not messages that contain verification codes like banks, NHS and some Apps including WhatsApp. For instance, I want to associate my banking app with my new phone but the verification code will not come through.
I have contacted O2 twice and they told me to do all the usual stuff like turn messages off and on again, reset the phone etc.

I think that the numbers I am having trouble with are all premium ones or ones you cannot reply to.
Sorry for the long post but any help to resolve this issue would be much appreciated, as this is very frustrating.

Some things that have helped in the past @RobertGreen

  • Check if you have a spend cap on your account - if yes, increase it or remove it
  • Check if WiFi calling is enabled on your account (once logged into your My o2) - if it is turn it off

Failing that you would need to contact customer services.

You can do this messaging o2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) and they should be able to help.

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
