@Derek5

There is no provision in your contract for refunds such as this and no network guarantees coverage everywhere.

You can ask O2 but unless it's due to a long term fault, any refunds are unlikely.

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Sadly O2 is yet another company that likes to rip off its customers.  My phone is basically a music player that also receives calls.  I inadvertently let the phone bit expir through lack of use.  I then had to buy a new sim and was very clear to the vendoe that I needed PAYGO not a monthly contact.  They fitted me the sim and then when I got home I went to my account, uploaded £10, and afterwards just checked that I was on the right contract.  I was not.  My Classic PAYGO is apparently unavailable and I found myself on a £10 monthly PAGO scheme.  Today I rang up to get a refund since I have not used the phone as a phone. Answer - No refunds for PAYGO.  What a rip off!

My advice is to avoid O2.  How about 1p Mobile?  So much cheaper for those in my position (https://www.1pmobile.com/index.taf)

They wont add customers onto PAYG classic as it is no longer available, and as per the terms their is no refunds for PAYG..

So not sure where you think you have been ripped off.. And all companies are the same with PAYG...

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Remember 1p Mobile requires a £10 top up every 120 days or £30 for a year to keep it active.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
