Sims and Phones fail like all technology without rhyme or reason, it could be a mast local to you have lost power, and is waiting to phone home..

Can you try your sim card in a different phone?

Other than that If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

Unfortunately they can just fail.

As per the guides I posted, you need to try your sim in another phone and another sim in your phone to see if the fault persists.

If it is always present then it must be a network issue in which case it should be noted on the status page, again linked above.

If nothing reported there, you can report it through the My Network app when connected to wifi https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network
