Google is wrong as 1Gb is 1024mb so if you have 10322.2 mb you have 10.08GB left of your data allowance

What your MyO2 says is right, @Ellie14 - the text could be a spoof to get you to click on the link for nefarious purposes - delete the text.

mb - millibits @madasaf1sh ? 😉

GB - GigaBytes

MB - MegaBytes

kb - kilobits

1 Byte = 8 bits

PSX_20210822_122350.jpg

But yes, sellers of RAM and hard drives use a base10 multiplier to confuse:

10GB - 10x1000 MB - 10,000,000 kB

vs.

10GiB - 10x1024 MiB - 10,485,760 kiB

It soon adds up - and don't get me started on block size (on disk...🙄)

It has been one of those mornings, @madasaf1sh 😑

@Ellie14

Do you have 2gb of base data and 10gb of bonus data?

If so, the system will still automatically tell you when you have used the 2gb of base data even though you haven't used your bonus data.

Only just logged back on....

I meant to write in the correct notation, I meant to go back and change it, but got distracted 😛

Mb  (or MB)- MegaByte

Gb  (or GB)- GigaByte

Tb  (or TB)- TeraByte

Pb (or PB) - PetaByte

Eb (or EB) - Exabyte

There are 8 bits to a byte so as @pgn said a MB (Megabyte) is 8 times as big as a Mb (Megabit)
