O2 have sent my father a sim card that was not asked for after terminating our Virgin Media SIM card account. The O2 SIM card has never used, but we have recieved a letter demanding payment, or else. We did not ask for this SIM card, never ordered the SIM card, and have only read the mail after they returned from being on Holiday (25th Sep 2023 to 5th Aug 2023). Mail dated 1st Aug 2023.
Before going on Holiday, contact was attempted twice by phone, but both times, we were on hold for at least 45mins, then cut off after getting through.
Can you please investigate this, as we have never signed for an account with O2. SIM card never used. Please get back to us as soon as possible - I have started this conversation on behalf of my elderly father, who does not use computers, and it is causing him stress.

This looks like something you’d need to call O2’s customer service team about – give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202
Use the specific Payment management number 0800 902 0217
The opening times are:
Monday to Friday – 8am to 8pm
Saturday – 8am to 6pm
Sunday – 9am to 6pm

@Anonymous
I would also speak to Virgin Media, as they have passed over the details to o2, so sounds like they havent cancelled anything on their side, and o2 will have no knowledge of your cancellation with Virgin
VM can be contacted on 0345 454 1111

Eventually paid the £24 to escape the Virgin to O2 handover scam. Never using O2 again.
