Have you tried turning your phone off and on again @jo6 ?

Were you sent a new sim card?

You might need to update the settings for text messages, including the message centre number.

@gmarkj @Philhoganuk I had the same problem when I migrated over and that was with a new 02 sim. Rectified after a week but only after a lot of badgering on the phone

Yep, this is happening to me now. I’m trying to log an eConsult with my GP surgery and I’m not receiving the security code to start the process. I haven’t even received the O2 email to verify my email address despite four messages telling me it’s been sent.

Hi OpulentConfetti

My 11th July migration failed as I like to switch my phone off at night.

I missed that instruction (but I was in the country).

I was nicely castigated for not fully understanding all of the VM two email.

The current position is I am (off my own initiative) running two phones to comply with the “don’t insert before migration” dictate.

Phone 1 [VM e-sim] VM data allowance still active / receives texts to my number

but does not ring when called.

VM say the migration will now be 11 August and use the jargon that the account is fully ‘locked’.

Phone 2 [the O2-UK physical sim supplied] receives calls and uses the MyO2 data allowance.

NOTE the O2 text codes sent show no indication on this phone.

As with you I rely on NHS texts.

Don’t worry if your tariff price looks a little high
… but I DO ‼️ and that in April 2024
the price increase will be calculated
on that Higher Price not the monthly cost.
