Hi,

I joined o2 last week and transferred my old number on Tuesday 27th.

Since 7:30 wednesday morning I have been receiving the same text several times a day, telling me my switch date is 27/06/23 and to switch my phone off till 6pm.

How do I stop these texts, the transfer was successful on the 27th.

Reset your network settings first.

If that doesn't work, you'll need a new sim.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I've had exactly the same problem. Got the first text at 18.09 on 28/06/23 telling me that was my switch date. A bit late. I thought the texts were continuing because I hadn't had my phone off on the 28th. The transfer seemed to be successful till I discovered my iPhone is showing the temporary number in settings and won't allow me to change it. I'm about to contact support but thought I'd try Community first.

You need to contact O2.
Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (contract) 4445 or 0344 8090222 (PAYG)

Thanks M15. That's the advice Support gave me when I phoned and it has worked. He also said that would stop the multiple texts problem and so far I haven't had another.
