Incorrect spelling of surname on account

I have just arranged an O2 contract via Virginmedia, looking to have the "Volt" benefit of higher broadband speed and double data. I have been a VM customer for some years.

I received the O2 SIM and have activated it with my old number transferred from 3.

So far so good.

However, when I access my account, my surname has been misspelled.

Somehow, although VM has all my correct details, along the way some inattentive operative has hit an adjacent keyboard key changing one letter of my surname. The security concerns are obvious.

I have been going round in circles with this. The human I managed to speak to referred me back to the online help, which is less than useless.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to have this resolved?

@Scotiable

It will not effect your Volt benefits but we’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
