Hi,
I have found out that my IMEI number is blacklisted through a painful process of various visits to various shops, in the end apple support confirmed. So far I have not been helped by O2 to unblock my phone despite many phone calls, where I was assured it would happen in 24 hrs, and nothing happened. So now I cant use a nearly brand new fully functioning phone with no fault of mine and no on to unblock it, nor to tell me what is going on, whilst I am still paying for O2 services. Stuck between a rock and a hard place - can anyone help me? I read in in thread here that there is help, so am not despairing just yet..

You need to persist with O2.
Call 202 from your mobile or 0344 809 0202, 0800 902 0217 or 0800 032 1402
If you have no access to a phone then use Skype to call 0800 032 1402 Guide: A Guide to Skype
When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,
Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.
Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.
8am is the best time to call

I am having exact same problem and customer service is hopeless .. if you could let me know if find a solution to this as it is so frustrating not basing able to use a phone you are paying for .. thanks hope you get it sorted out
