I have just upgraded and paid off what I owed, but this morning a direct debit was taken out of what I use to pay but my new payment date is 1st October surely my old direct debit should of stopped

It depends on the date you upgraded.
Your old and new contracts are merged and payments are amalgamated.
If you have concerns you need to call payment management.
You can reach the Payment Management team on 0800 902 0217.
The opening times are:
Monday to Friday – 8am to 8pm
Saturday – 8am to 6pm
Sunday – 9am to 6pm
