I want to switch the account holder

Not possible to simply switch the account holder due to credit checks.

They would first need to take out an account in their name

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Not possible unless it's a business account, sorry.

The new account holder would need to get a contract in their name and them migrate the number to it.
