I can't hear callers

Can anybody help me please? When l make a call, or answer a call, they can hear me but I can't hear anybody on the other end? What should l do? Phone is not the problem, this is the case on any phone. Thanks

Pop into your local O2 shop and get a free SIM swap first to see if it helps. 

Also try using loudspeaker just to check it's not the way you are holding the phone or if something is covering the mic.

Check with the local network you are using to see if there are any faults or manually select a different network to try.

Check and see if there is any fluff or dirt in the microphone port and gently clean with a toothpick or babies toothbrush.

Maximise the call volume and restart your device.

I note you say you aren't in the country. Could you try a local sim and see if that works ok. if it does then you know it's a sim issue and you can follow @MI5 's advice of getting a new O2 sim when you return to the UK. Just a thought.

It won't be the mike it will possibly be a problem with the speaker but if it happens in other phones then it's the network I would think rather than the sim card.
