 I am looking for advice.  I have been repeatedly trying to obtain my old number.  I now live in Australia and my old number i had in the UK is connected to my bank account.  I mean i can no longer even log onto my account due to changes in the UK system with one off codes.  Every night I have been speaking to O2 about getting this sorted... my old number is not allocated it is available, but for the past two weeks I have been bumped from department to department and been cut off and treated disgustingly. I am looking to lay a complaint with the Ombudsman.   Not only has this not been resolved I am totally exhausted from talking or aptly put attempting to talk to o2 customer service for a minimum of two hours every night ( I was talking to them last night until 1 am (Australian time).

I would like to know what I can do about this which hopefully does not involve me getting on a plane to come back to the UK and have this sorted out.  In this day an age one would this this should be simple enough to resolve.

@KiwiRae

Surely you can change the number with your bank if this is the only reason?

Either way, you don't actually own the number, so the Ombudsman would do nothing to help and you have to go through the O2 complaints process first.

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
