I miss the free text facility on the 02 home page,,,when will it be restored .

It won't, sorry. It was running on the same servers as O2 Email which also also gone so the facility no longer exists.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

If you type 'free sms' or 'free texts' in Google then you may be able to find other websites that offer free texting facilities - although most of them come with some marketing on the texts.

A company that can no longer afford to run an email service as every other company does is highly unlikely to bring any free services back in the foreseeable future.

When the email service winds up the servers will be shut down for good.
