Why does o2's credit card payment block Micrsoft Wallet

I've not found a website before that prevents you using your wallet app to complete a payment. The O2 pay by credit card has a field for your credit card numbers shown with hyphens in it incidentally (which it then doesn't want you to enter anyway!) ...
