upgrading to handset from sim only

I am trying to upgrade from a sim only contract to handset as my account says I can upgrade i try to but it says my order cant be completed I dont know if I have to wait 3 months as I only got the contract on the 15th April 2025

Received this email from USwitch this morning. All these comments on posts here saying 'oh, dw let it all blow over, it's been on/off like this since April, it'll come back'... Well heres your answer. What now fellow O2 customers of sim-only deals?
